A cold storage facility set up at Ponnani Harbour under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) – Model Fishing Village scheme was inaugurated. A live fish vending centre was launched at the Veliyankode shrimp hatchery, and fish fingerlings were stocked in a biofloc fish farming unit.
